Vienna, VA, (February 23, 2006) – Lucidiom Inc., creator of the original Automated Photo Machine (APM), will debut its new APM 2000 at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Show, February 26th through March 1st in Orlando, Fla.
To help retail customers make high-quality digital prints quickly and easily, the APM 2000 features the advanced technical specs of Lucidiom's APM 1200, but adds three big new enhancements. With 1 GB of RAM, it can store and process photos faster. The built-in, 5-1/4" combo CD/DVD drive allows consumers to make photo CDs and slideshow DVDs. Plus, the EasyReaderTM front panel makes it simple for consumers to know where and how to insert their media cards for quick photo prints.
"The APM 2000 is our latest innovation to make it quick and easy for consumers to print their photos and for retailers to increase their profits," said Lucidiom President Steve Giordano, Jr. "This countertop APM is small and compact enough for retailers setting up digital photo cafés – the biggest trend in photofinisher retailing -- in their stores. Our retail partners typically find that their APMs will generate enough print orders that the APM pays for itself within three months. The APM gives photofinishing retailers a powerful profit-making resource in the digital imaging revolution."
The APM 2000 supports a full range of digital media types: xD™ Picture Card, CompactFlash®/MicroDrive, Memory Stick® Pro and Duo, SD/MMC™/MiniSD/RS-MMC, and SmartMedia™. The APM 2000 also features a 15-inch touch-screen, an optional credit card/magnetic stripe reader so customers can pay for their photos right at the kiosk, and a built-in thermal receipt printer.
All Lucidiom APMs come with the company's award-wining APM software that allows retailers to manage all their APMs online from any location and to handle every business need— from analyzing business operations to tracking sales trends to providing customer support.
Lucidiom's software also lets retailers tailor the APM to fit their needs—from adjusting products, features and prices offered, to changing the look, feel and branding of the user interface. Like all of Lucidiom's products, the APM 2000 can be branded to fit each store's style and market.
At the PMA Show, show attendees can print their photos for free at Lucidiom's booth #4361, while test-driving Lucidiom's digital imaging solutions. During the show, retailers also can learn how to expand their business by playing Lucidiom's Maximize Your Profits Contest. Attendees get their contest cards stamped at three of seven demo areas within Lucidiom's booth to enter the contest and are eligible to win one of many iPod Nanos and a 42" plasma high-definition television.
