Westinghouse Digital Electronics, one of the top five LCD manufacturers in the U.S.*, debuts its biggest and best 720p LCD HDTV yet, the widescreen 46" LTV-46w1 HD with integrated HDTV tuner. This versatile new TV complements the award-winning Westinghouse suite of 1080p HD monitors, which are among the best selling in the market this year across a number of screen sizes up to 47".
With its winning mix of superb LCD image quality, advanced features, and ahead-of-the-market pricing, the LTV-46w1 HD is the perfect screen solution for home theater aficionados and starters alike. The Westinghouse 46" LCD TV offers ample big-screen real estate, yet is sleek enough in profile to fit into an amoire. The LTV-46w1 HD's beautiful, high-resolution LCD screen is ideal for all viewing environments, especially daytime, with its DayBrightTM screen technology that looks as good in the daylight as it does during the nighttime.
"Westinghouse Digital is helping to lead big-screen LDCs into the HDTV mainstream by pushing the performance and affordability boundaries in ways that benefit consumers and our retail partners alike," said Rey Roque, Vice President of Marketing at Westinghouse Digital Electronics. "With our flexibility in LCD design and manufacturing, we can quickly create products like the new 46" HDTV that are tailored for success as we enter new markets and new channels."
The LTV-46w1 HD features 1366 x 768 resolution, 720p output for optimum performance, and a new AllGlassTM design that incorporates a minimal bezel. The built-in ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM digital tuner captures HD and SD content over the air or HD cable content without a set-top-box. HDMI connectivity provides quick installation of top quality video and audio through a single cable; and a total of 5 HD inputs and 2 Video inputs allow for input of everything from up-converting DVD players, Blue-Ray/HD DVD players, Media Center PCs, and HD capable game consoles to legacy formats such as VHS, Video games and camcorders. Westinghouse's proprietary SpineDesignTM ensures full and easy access to all connections -- even when the unit is mounted on a wall - as well as a superior image with less noise. The Autosource system, another Westinghouse innovation, instantly detects whatever source is powered on - such as a game console or DVD - and automatically switches to it.
The LTV-46w1 HD's hidden, down-firing speakers reproduce every sound and note in crystal clear audio, and the smart Adjustable Audio Out features gives users complete control over speaker selection (Internal, External, Both) and allows even the external volume to be controlled by the main TV volume. For easy channel access and identification, the Advanced 2D user menu lets users assign customized names to all channels and inputs.
The LTV-46w1 HD is currently available for an MSRP of $2,099. To locate a specific retailer, please visit www.westinghousedigital.com.
