Panamax, Inc., a world-leading provider of power management solutions, today announced the release of the new MFP-400 for residential home theater systems. The MFP-400 supplies clean, noise-free power to high-definition (HD) flat-panel displays for enhanced image and sound quality while protecting the system from damaging over/undervoltages.
Featuring a slimline design that makes it ideal for mounting out of view behind flat-panel displays, the MFP-400 offers power cleaning and premium filtration to eliminate common symptoms of AC line noise, such as loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums, and visual artifacts, and allow equipment to perform at its full capability for an optimal home theater experience.
For component longevity, Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM) circuitry, a patent-pending technology from Panamax, monitors the incoming AC power and disconnects power to connected components in case of an unsafe voltage. Once the voltage returns to safe levels, the MFP-400 restores the power supply to the connected equipment.
Panamax's exclusive Protect or Disconnect circuitry completely removes the AC power from connected equipment in the event of a catastrophic surge, while integrated coax/sat and telephone/LAN line protection prevents electrical surges that travel over cable, satellite, and antenna lines.
"The MFP-400 continues Panamax's legacy of providing our customers with clean power for improved image and sound quality while protecting the sensitive components of home theater systems," said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax and Furman. "By utilizing premium power filtration, the MFP-400 brings out the best performance from the latest HD displays, providing a stunning viewing experience for our customers."
The MFP-400 will be available in September 2007 at an MSRP of $199.95.
