I remember when I built my second PC system, and thought, How the hell am I going to transfer all the files I need to the newer computer? As usual, we all think of the important things after the fact. I had a few choices. Burning several gigabytes of data on DVD media, and then loading it on the second computer, was an option. But this would certainly take a lot of time. The second option was to just network both computers. With the computers being networked, I wouldn't have to worry about transferring files at all. Of course, networking computers is not easy (contrary to all the "simple steps to networking" on the net), and what if I chose to disconnect one computer from the other? I'd be back to my same problem. So, I needed to find some way to transfer files to my other computer, without taking more time than what it should.

The Tornado File Transfer Tool

Data Drive Thru has created a product which is so simple to use, you'll probably ask yourself why everything else can't be this way. More recently announced by Data Drive Thru was the iTornado (which finally has PC and Mac compatability), but in this review, we'll stick to the first Tornado, which is made to operate with two computers using a Microsoft operating system.

The Tornado is a device which takes away the hassles of figuring out how to network two computers so they can move files back and forth between each other. If you're wanting to network computers permanently, then you'll have to dive into Microsoft's stipulations, but if you're upgrading your computer system, and need a fast and no-brainer way to move files from one physical location to another, then The Tornado could be just what you've been looking for.
