The Fujitsu fi-5110EOX2 ScanSnap
Fujitsu presents the ScanSnap as the solution to desktop clutter and chaos, whether in the home or in a business setting. It is also regarded as the bridge between the Paper World and the Digital World. After using the ScanSnap for a few weeks, I found the scanner was even small enough for portable use as well. The ScanSnap is also available for MAC users, and has the same features except for being white in color.

Your Desktop
Remember how computers and the internet were supposed to reduce paperwork? Well, so much for that theory. As you're reading this review, you probably have a stack of papers on your desktop at home, and it's probably been sitting there for quite sometime because you don't really want to disturb it. And I wouldn't either. Have a cubicle life at work? There's probably a stack of papers on your desk as well. Sorting and managing paper is one of the most tedious jobs which also takes up a lot of time. But what about the possibility of just taking a small stack of papers from your Tower Of Chaos, and having a compact scanner with a 600 DPI resolution scan it into a thumbnail viewer, where you can decide on your own time, where the documents should go. What about a scanner that has high-quality resolution, but is also small enough to fit on the smallest desktops.
Fujitsu wanted to create a scanner that had tremendous versatility. Until recently, compact dual-sided scanning technology with high resolution often meant there was a significant price to be paid for the convenience. Fujitsu created a compact dual-sided scanner which can now be owned for under $450 (and under $400 in many stores).
Considering how much time could be saved and the benefits of digitally-stored documents available within seconds stored on a main server of a business, or on the computer of a personal user, the ScanSnap option could be your document liberator. To find out if the ScanSnap would fit into your lifestyle, let's begin the Fujitsu fi-5110EOX2 ScanSnap review...
