Current DigitalDingus PC Systems
DigitalDingus uses a few computer systems for testing software applications. Currently, there are two which are active, and one has been retired. This page was created to give readers a general idea from where to benchmark and/or pair their own computer system with a DigitalDingus system, for proper comparison.
DigitalDingus PC System #1
The following system I had since 2000. It's an older bugger, but was very reliable and I can't believe it's lasted 14 years! I eventually had to retire this as the system could not accomodate current software demands. The Abit VP6 was an amazing motherboard:

DigitalDingus PC System #2
The following system was used from June 2006 to 2008. A rather short lifespan. At the time I started building this system, dual-core was just gaining momentum and I was a little hesitant. In the end, I stuck with a dual 604 Irwindale 3.6GHz system, running on an Iwill workstation/server motherboard. Let's take a look at these components:
Please note this PC system has been retired as of May 20th, 2008. The Xeon processors were running way too hot, and this was normal for this type of processor. Cooling requirements were just impractical.
