Jack Davis and Software Cinema have created a Photoshop DVD which packs about 5 hours of valuable content for some great overall familiarity with Photoshop but also in-depth learning. Best Of Photoshop CS2 is designed to give anyone a head start on the learning paths to creating eye-opening images and techniques which simply cannot be learned on their own without the essential knowledge of Jack Davis. Mr. Davis has almost 20 years of imaging know-how, and has written books on the topic. Jack is also very talented in the logo design field and has his own company, JHDavis Design. Being a designer, illustrator, and book writer, Jack is certainly a busy fellow.

A Photoshop CS2 Goldmine
Best Of Photoshop CS2 is packed with information and content. Some of my favorite video sessions were Smart Sharpen (Session 7), Lens Correction Filter (Session 4), Smart Collage (Session 9), and the Paths To Great Photos bonus sessions.
Pros
- Great examples with rich colors which make the sessions enjoyable
- Elaborate techniques are well-explained
- 5 hours of content
Cons
Observations
- Appears to not play in modern "home multimedia" DVD players--only PC-based DVD players
This is really a great DVD, and Software Cinema has recruited another talented artist to demonstrate the potential of Photoshop CS2. Jack Davis has an excellent assortment of images and examples to help you fully understand and comprehend the techniques he applies in each session. Best Of Photoshop CS2 is not only valuable as an overall guide to Photoshop CS2, but is also a helpful guide to potential workflow techniques as well.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLUS
Having reviewed several of the Software Cinema DVDs, I have yet to find duplicate content. Each of the authors has their own unique style which makes every Software Cinema DVD special to have and to own as part of a great digital imaging how-to collection.
