Vizo's packaging of the Master Panel II was done fairly well, but still has a lot of plastic. The MPII is housed in two pieces of clear plastic, which are easily pulled apart from each other. I'm delighted to say there are no glued plastic pieces to rip apart while having the sound echoing through your home like a massive car crash. The MTP-201 packaging is simple, but manages to keep the MTP-201 Master Panel II and the included accessories, sealed and protected during its shipping adventures.
The Master Panel II
The MP II differs entirely from the original Master Panel, and we can see a variety of new additions and features.
The back of the MP II is where all your connections will be joined to your motherboard. This will (or should) free up a lot of wires coming out the back of your computer case.
In The Box
Below is what you find in the box of the Master Panel II.
A driver CD for Windows 98 and Windows 98SE users is offered. Of course, you really shouldn't have Windows 98 of any version by now (should you?). The user manual gives a lot of nice illustrations to show you where the included wires connect to.
Seen below are the audio and video cables for your internal hookup to your motherboard. Vizo has them labeled appropriately for even easier identification and convenience when connecting them to your mobo.
IEEE 1394 (i.e., "Firewire") and USB 2.0 cables are included to hook up to your motherboard internally.
Shown below are the power cables and eSATA cable for controlling up to two fans.
VIZO provides a motherboard bracket, three cable ties, and screws for mounting.
