DigitalDingus RSS Index |
February 5, 2006 (Updated January 8, 2008) |
Welcome to the DigitalDingus RSS Index. RSS is now a part of the DigitalDingus website, and you can keep up to date on the latest news and reviews, as well as articles. To subscribe to a particular RSS feed, simply add the URL which is shown underneath the respective RSS description. If you have an RSS "aggregator" which collects RSS feeds, you may be able to click on the XML image and have the URL automatically added. |

Periods When You May Receive Several News Announcements
If you sign up for the News 2008 announcements, there will be periods throughout the year where you will get significantly more news announcements than usual. The following list will more than likely change as time goes on, but the current list is:
- Consumer Electronics Show (CES): Throughout January
- Photo Marketing Association (PMA): Mid-to-Late February
- Photokina: Every Other Year In September And October (2006, 2008, 2010, etc.)
What Is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. You can select very specific feeds, or more general feeds. It is all up to your viewing habits and curiousity of the website which features RSS. What is also convenient, is updates come directly to your email without having to search the website for those specific updates.
Currently, there are three RSS feeds available to DigitalDingus viewers. In order to use RSS, you will need an RSS Reader. There are several free readers available, such as RSS Popper. I happen to use this myself and it's a very simple RSS reader which is not overloaded with features and does not take up a lot of computer resources within your email client.
Another RSS reader is Feedreader. The file size is around 1.5MB, and is totally free under GPL (just like RSS Popper). Feedreader has a few more features than RSS Popper so if you're familiar with RSS feeds, you might try this program.
